How does Topher create his paintings?

Topher begins with a photo collage as his inspiration. He utilizes his years of training as a filmmaker and artist to compose his subject matter, and then uses a stylus to layer color in a variety of shapes and textures on his digital canvas until he achieves his vision. The paintings consist of hundreds, even thousands of digital strokes and layers. As he paints, he literally steps into the world he is creating using AR goggles to view it from all angles. Using the most cutting edge technology combined with his eye for form and color, he creates stunning artworks that redefine what he sees.

What size should I order?

Topher's paintings are available in a variety of sizes, depending on the Edition. 

The Limited Editions are 32x32" square paintings, or 30"x60" rectangular paintings are available in runs of either 25 or 40, depending on the painting. 

The Special Editions are 36"x72", and there are only 10 paintings available. 

There is only ONE Original, and it is defined by its expansive size. Some of Topher's Original sizes are 48"x48" square paintings, 45"x90" rectangular paintings, truly impressive 60"x120" Triptychs or Quads, and 90"x90" Quads.

What is the material and frame of the painting?

Topher's paintings are dye-sublimated to glossy, polymer-coated aluminum alloy, which results in a luminous, highly reflective piece of art. The painting is framed with a sleek and modern black metal edge frame that is 1.375" deep and extends straight back from the edge of the painting, as shown below.

How do I care for my painting?

All paintings are delivered with a microfiber cleaning cloth and care instructions. Although the paintings are extremely durable and resistant to fading, they can be scratched or dented, so please only use a lint free clean cloth and either water or a mild household cleaning spray. Take care when moving or approaching the painting to avoid denting the surface. 

Do I need to worry about sun damage?

All art is subject to fading when exposed to direct sun. However, the permanence rating on Topher's paintings is 65 years under bright sun conditions, and almost 100 years under normal household lighting. You should not see any visible fading in your lifetime. While the paintings are 100% waterproof, Topher does not recommend hanging them outside because they may be damaged by heavy weather.
