Refund policy

I take the utmost care in creating and manufacturing my work, however, while very rare, mistakes can happen. Please take the time to read and understand this policy and the steps that must be met in the event of damage. We have yet to encounter these issues with any print or shipment to date.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL
Due to the nature of print-on-demand and the high cost of printing to metal as well as the expense of shipping, we do not accept returns or offer refunds. The rare exception is if the artwork is damaged in transit, or if there is a flaw in the print. The strict guidelines as outlined below must be adhered to in order for a claimed to be filed and your artwork to be replaced.

To have the utmost confidence in your purchase you may want to see what a print on metal looks like in person. Here are a few options:

  • I have shows across the country and there is a chance that you could visit an exhibit to view my work in person.
  • You are welcome to visit my studio in Denver, Colorado to see examples printed at full-size.
  • For a small cost I can ship a small sample of the exact painting you are interested in. You can touch and feel the material and see how the painting will look in your space. 
  • We are also able to do a proportional digital mock-up of the work into a photo of your space. Photos must meet the specs we provide.

SHIPPING DAMAGE
We ship worldwide on quality freight carriers and provide only the best protection for your new art. If, however, if you notice any damages you can refuse the shipment and it will be returned so we can file a claim. We handle the filing of the claim, and we arrange a free replacement print, but we will need a few things from you:

  • Notify us within 2 days of receipt of artwork, include your order number.
  • Take photos of any damage to the box, damage to the print, and the shipping label.
  • Send these photos within 2 days of receipt to topher@topherstraus.com and follow up with a phone call to ensure receipt.
  • We will take care of filing the claim with the shipper and will replace your artwork within 2-3 weeks at no charge.

PRINTING ERRORS
I use the very best metal printers and have established relationships with them. Sometimes, due to the painstaking nature of the sublimation process there can be issues with the print. It's not common, but it does happen so it's important to inspect your art once it has arrived safely. If you notice any damage/surface flaws in the artwork you have 2 days within accepted delivery to file a claim.

I must be contacted immediately and the following steps must happen:

  • Notify us within 2 days of receipt via phone (303) 900-0808.
  • Take several photos of the damage on the painting from multiple angles. A video call may be required so that I can see damage from all angles to access why and how it happened.
  • Send these photos within 2 days of receipt to topher@topherstraus.com.
  • I will arrange for pick-up of the damaged painting.
  • The original crate must be used and packing instructions will be emailed.
  • We will take care of the rest, and your artwork will be replaced within 2-3 weeks at no charge.
