About Asheville

Asheville sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains where the French Broad and Swannanoa rivers meet, with downtown’s Art Deco buildings on one side and the Biltmore Estate, the largest privately owned house in America, on the other. Its River Arts District holds studios for more than two hundred artists, much of it rebuilt after the floods of Hurricane Helene in 2024.

Asheville, after the storm

Topher began Asheville early in 2024. When the floods of Hurricane Helene hit that fall, the painting became a tribute to the city and the people rebuilding it. When it debuted at Momentum Gallery in December 2025, part of its proceeds was pledged to local Helene relief.
