Every place he paints

Topher Straus paints real places: the ski towns of Colorado and Utah, the state he grew up in, the national parks, and the cities, coasts and islands he keeps going back to. Each place has its own page with the paintings of it, where each one was painted, edition sizes and prices, where to see the work in person, and answers to collectors’ questions. Forty-one places, grouped four ways.

Ski towns and mountain resorts

Twelve pages: the Colorado and Utah ski towns he paints, and the ski artist page that gathers them.

Colorado

Six pages: the Colorado artist page, the Front Range, Rocky Mountain National Park, and a painting of your own place.

National parks

Twelve pages: the national park artist page and the parks by state, from Alaska to West Texas.

More places

Twelve pages: cities, coasts and islands, two countries, and the classic cars.

Not here yet? Topher takes four commissions a year, by introduction: your place, painted for your wall. And every painting on the site can be seen in person, at a gallery or at his studio in Golden, Colorado.
