About Rocky Mountain National Park
Established in 1915, Rocky Mountain National Park covers more than 400 square miles of the Front Range above Estes Park. Longs Peak, at 14,259 feet, is its only fourteener, and its Keyhole Route is one of the classic climbs of Colorado. In autumn the aspens turn gold and the elk rut fills the meadows of Moraine Park.
