About Colorado’s four parks
Rocky Mountain National Park carries Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in the country. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison holds the Painted Wall, the tallest cliff in Colorado. Mesa Verde protects the cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Puebloans and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Great Sand Dunes holds the tallest dunes in North America beneath the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
