Alaska national park paintings by Topher Straus
Alaska
National park artist Topher Straus paints Alaska’s national parks: the peaks of Denali, the Arctic wilderness of Gates of the Arctic, the glaciers of Kenai Fjords and the glassy waters of Lake Clark.

“Lake Clark National Park captivated me with its rugged wilderness and untouched beauty. The vast, glassy waters reflecting towering peaks create a sense of peace and power that’s hard to find elsewhere.”

About Alaska’s national parks
Denali, at 20,310 feet, is the tallest mountain in North America. Gates of the Arctic lies entirely north of the Arctic Circle and has no roads or trails at all. Kenai Fjords, near Seward, is where the Harding Icefield spills glaciers into the sea, and Lake Clark, reached mostly by small plane, holds still lakes beneath the volcanoes Iliamna and Redoubt.
