Golden, Colorado paintings by Topher Straus

Golden, Colorado

Topher Straus lives and works in Golden, Colorado, in the foothills west of Denver. From here he paints the sun rising over the mesa above town and the red rock walls of Red Rocks, just down the road in Morrison.

His home gallery is his studio here in Golden, minutes from Denver and Boulder and an easy drive from Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. Collectors have flown in from across the country just for the studio tour. Tours are private and by application: every guest is interviewed first, because Topher puts his heart and soul into every tour.

About Golden

Golden sits where Clear Creek leaves the mountains, between the flat-topped mesas of North and South Table Mountain. Founded in 1859, it briefly served as the capital of Colorado Territory. Just south, in Morrison, Red Rocks Amphitheatre opened in 1941 between two 300-foot sandstone monoliths, Ship Rock and Creation Rock.
