Miami, Florida paintings by Topher Straus
Miami, Florida
Colorado artist Topher Straus paints Miami and South Florida: a vintage Ferrari on Ocean Drive, the neon Breakwater on South Beach, and the water of Biscayne, the Everglades and the Dry Tortugas.

“Nothing feels more alive than cruising South Beach with the top down. I wanted this piece to feel like a heatwave of joy.”

About Miami
South Beach holds the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world, more than 800 buildings listed together on the National Register; the Breakwater, opened on Ocean Drive in 1939, is one of its icons. Every December Art Basel Miami Beach brings the international art world to town. Offshore, Biscayne National Park is about 95 percent water, and seventy miles west of Key West, Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas is the largest brick masonry structure in the Americas.

Questions collectors ask
Which painting feels most like Miami?
Ocean Drive and The Breakwater for South Beach; Biscayne National Park, Everglades National Park and Dry Tortugas National Park for the water around it.
Can I see the work in person?
Yes. Topher arranges private viewings for collectors by appointment and can send a scaled preview for a wall in Miami.
How much does a Miami painting by Topher Straus cost?
Miami paintings start at $2,700 for an 18 × 36 in edition and run to $22,900 for a 42 × 84 in edition of 3. The most chosen size, 30 × 60 in, is $5,500. Each painting’s page shows which editions remain.
Which size suits a Miami home?
For a great room or a double-height wall, 42 × 84 in or 36 × 72 in holds the space; above a fireplace or a sofa, 30 × 60 in usually fits. Send a photograph of the wall and Topher will tell you which size works.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. Designers and architects can send plans or wall photos for sizing and placement, arrange a private viewing, and get help with installation.
Is each size a numbered edition?
Yes. Each size is a small, numbered edition, with as few as one made at the largest size. When an edition sells out, the painting’s page says so.
