Moab, Utah paintings by Topher Straus
Moab, Utah
National park artist Topher Straus paints the parks around Moab, Utah: Delicate Arch above red slickrock in Arches National Park, and the layered canyons of Canyonlands.

“Canyonlands stretches the imagination. It’s massive, intricate, and timeless. I painted this piece to explore that layered, carved beauty from above and within.”

About Arches and Canyonlands
Arches National Park holds more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, and Delicate Arch, standing alone on the slickrock rim, is the one on Utah’s license plates. Canyonlands, near Moab, is carved by the Colorado and Green rivers into three districts, the Island in the Sky, the Needles and the Maze, a landscape best understood from above, as the painting sees it.
