Colorado Artist: The State I Grew Up In
Colorado
“Rocky Mountain is home for me. This painting is my love letter to its vast skies, golden valleys, and ever-reaching peaks.”
TOPHER STRAUS, ON ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

The state I grew up in
Topher Straus was born in Denver and works from Golden. His Colorado paintings move from the city to the high country: the Denver skyline at night, Red Rocks, the Maroon Bells, and Rocky Mountain National Park.
The ski towns hold the rest: Vail Village at night and the Back Bowls, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride’s box canyon, Crested Butte at alpenglow, Winter Park and Steamboat. Vail International Gallery, RA Modern and Uptripping represent his work in Colorado.
