Zion Art: The First Landscape
Zion National Park, Utah
“This is actually my very first landscape I ever did. At first, I was not intrigued by landscapes at all. I had a friend who wanted me to do a commission of his favorite park, Zion.”
TOPHER STRAUS, ON ZION NATIONAL PARK

The first landscape
Zion National Park was the first landscape Topher ever painted: rugged sandstone walls and flowing water.
He returned in The Narrows, his second painting of the park, to the box canyon you wade through in knee-deep water.
